Dear Thalian Friend,

We are proud to present the second show of our inaugural summer season, Red by John Logan. This sizzling 90 minute drama and Wilmington premiere was the 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Play. The production, directed by Sam Robison and starring Patick Basquill and Wilmington Theater Award winner Robb Mann opens July 3 and runs through the 26th at the Red Barn Studio.

Red is the searing discussion of what is art and who makes that critical decision. In 1958 famed abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko has just been offered the biggest commission in the history of modern art and asks his young assistant that loaded question as they work in his New York studio. The young assistant soon realizes his answers to those fundamental questions may seriously differ from those of his mentor.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 pm with Sunday matinees at 3:00 pm. The box office opens two hours before each performance and tickets are available at thalian.org <http://thalian.org>  <http://thalian.org <http://thalian.org/> > . The Red Barn Studio is located at 1122 S. 3rd Street in downtown Wilmington.

Seating is limited so make your reservations today for this exciting production. I do hope you will join Thalian Association in our new home.

Sincerely,

Susan H. Habas
Executive Director
