Ginnie Conaway Watercolor Workshop
 September 18- 19, 2015
“Change Up Your Floral Paintings”
Explore three different ways to create floral masterpieces with Ginny Conaway.
Day 1, morning – Being Negative is good.
Planning a negative painting requires a totally different mindset. Learn to think in values, from the foreground to the background, while working with color harmonies.
Day 1, afternoon – Think outside the box.
Loosen up while combining wet-into-wet with pen and ink. Play with color, find shapes, and define the flowers.

Day 2, all day – Paint the drama!
Use value, color and cropping to create dramatic, bold florals.

Ginnie grew up in Maryland’s farming country.  Being an avid gardener has given her an appreciation of the land, which provides much of her inspiration. Whether capturing the fleeting beauty of a flower or the personality of a loved one, her artwork serves to portray a moment in time and place.
Ginnie resides in Winston Salem, NC. She is currently on the board of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina. She has taught at Forsyth Technical Community College for the past ten years.
Sponsored by Associated Artists of Southport at Franklin Square Gallery
(The fee for the workshop is $190.  $95 is due at the time of registration.)
